When you own your pleasure, you own your power.
To truly own our power requires us to feel the fullness of life and let our fullness shine.
This means feeling everything including… owning your pleasure.
When you embrace your pleasure, you acknowledge your desires and needs, which is a fundamental aspect of self-acceptance and self-love.
And, you learn to assert yourself in various aspects of life—be it personal relationships or professional environments.
When you own your pleasure, you set boundaries and communicate effectively about your needs, and you express your desires openly and confidently.
In a nutshell, embracing pleasure allows you to embrace your inner “siren” and pursue what makes you happy without guilt or shame.
However, most of us are conditioned to feel guilty/shameful about pleasure, are disassociated with our bodies, and may not even feel safe in our bodies because of traumas that we may not even be aware that we have.
To own our power (and pleasure), we have to develop body awareness, because body awareness helps us establish the sense of safety that allows us to tune into our physical sensations and emotional responses.
When you are aware of your body, you can better tune into your emotions, and intuition, and recognize what is right for you.
For example, if an opportunity presents itself to you, your mind may be confused. But your body knows. If it is a yes, your body will feel expansive towards an opportunity. If it is a no, your body will feel contracted towards an opportunity. And this yes/no can be subtle signs initially, until you learn to listen to your bodily cues.
In this case, what does your body feel like when it is in an expanded state? And what does your body feel like in a contracted state? Can you distinguish between the two?
Without body awareness, it can be difficult for you to tune into your truth, your emotions, and truly know yourself, and own your power.
To learn more about how to gain body awareness, stay tuned.

“Spiritual practice is about knowing and embracing your true nature and desires, while accepting where you are and what led to where you are without attachment to the past, at the same time.
In holding of the two spaces simultaneously, you are present to what is, not through suppression of your desires, by through embracing of all that is, including your desires which moves through you as part of all that is.”
