If you’re feeling dull, tired, stressed, and finding it difficult to lose weight, chances are… you’re not connected to your essence.
I’ve noticed that when I am too in my head, when I think/worry too much, or when I start to eat more than my body needs, etc., I am usually not connected to my essence and my body. And, that’s ok, it happens, especially when life gets hectic. It takes a bit of work to overcome old conditioning.
However, if you’re not connected to your essence, bringing awareness to the fact that you are not connected to your essence may be a big step in helping you live a healthier, more fulfilled, and happier life.
Let me explain.
Our essence is our life force energy, it is the source of our creativity, our sexual energy, and our pleasure. If our essence is blocked, this can lead to…
• Stagnation in energy
• Numbness
• Dullness
• Other health issues like being overweight, etc
When we connect with this energy and our pleasure, we…
• Feel Alive
• Don’t feel guilty for our desires from the heart
• Find ourselves healthier (and may even be able to heal ourselves) because we are connected to the energy of life itself
• Are tapped into our pleasure and magnetise opportunities to us
• May find that our eating pattern shifts because we are no longer using food to numb ourselves
• May find that we are flowing with life and things may come easily to us as we are in alignment and raised above the mindset of “struggle”
Unfortunately, most of us were not taught to embrace our essence. Instead, most of us, especially women, were taught to be disconnected from our essence. A lot of us were taught to act from our mind, not from our essence and body. Speaking from my own experience, some of us may even feel ashamed of owning our essence (shame is a big part of it).
In some cultures, women are even taught to repress their essence. If they dare shine, they may even lose their lives. In such cases, this means one’s subconscious may equate owning one’s essence to death.
As a result, many of us may subconsciously be afraid of letting our essence shine with conditioning such as you can’t express your truest self or you’ll attract too much attention as a woman, etc.
Why is embracing our essence and pleasure so threatening to many?
Because embracing our essence and pleasure means owning our power. And, this can be threatening to many who have not done their inner work.
But connecting to our essence is very much needed right now as we evolve. Our essence is essentially the spirit of life itself. By connecting to our essence, we set ourselves free from the past conditioning passed down from generations that no longer serve us and can create the new which is more aligned to our authentic selves.
Being connected to and being able to fully express our essence is our birthright!
To embrace and connect with our essence, we need to unblock any junk (ie trauma, beliefs, conditioning) that sits on top of this energy and connect to our body, our pleasure.
The bad news is… this can be painful and scary. Because unblocking our essence may mean healing the trauma that sits on top of our essence that we have not faced. You will be facing your biggest demons that are in the way of love and the fullest expression of yourself. You may scream, cry, yell, and more.
The good news is… this trauma is exactly the blockage that prevents your essence from fully expressing itself. Once you unravel the blockage, your essence naturally shines – it is naturally yours and you don’t have to do anything to “get” it. You just need to remove the mud that sits on top of it!
And, connecting to our essence allows us to be grounded operating fully within the physical world, whilst aligned to Source and connected to our pleasure and divinity in our physical bodies. When we consciously connect with our essence, we also learn to flow with the current of life and “create” in alignment with Source.
I’d even venture to say… connecting to your essence is an endeavor that involves recognising your divinity within you and being one with “God,” which I believe is what we ultimately came to do.
