With rapid technological advancement comes a great deal of chaos and uncertainty. I believe we are currently facing this, and we may continue to do so in the next decade. This is why the ability to stay calm and centered amid chaos and uncertainty is crucial.
I want to share three tips on how to handle uncertainty and chaos, especially in light of what’s going on in the world.
#1: Stay centered in who you are. This means knowing yourself—your wants, needs, desires, and boundaries—and being able to communicate that to the world. When you are aware of and acknowledge these aspects of yourself, you become more centered in your daily interactions with others.
#2: Recognize your inherent worth. Understand that you are worthy just as you are.
This means that even if things don’t go your way or your desires aren’t met, it doesn’t imply that there’s something wrong with you, that your desires are bad, or that you need to fix yourself. It also doesn’t indicate that you will never achieve your desires.
Often, we create narratives, especially during times of chaos and uncertainty. Recognizing your inherent worth during these times is key.
#3: Let go of control. This is something I discussed in my previous videos regarding surrendering.
Let go of your mental constructs of what you believe is right or wrong. These mental constructs are often shaped by societal programming, ancestral influences, or your past experiences. Many events may arise during this time to challenge and even dismantle those constructs.
If you lack the openness to surrender or the flexibility to adapt, you may struggle. It can be very difficult, especially during this period of chaos and uncertainty, which demands significant change—not just in the world, but also in the way you operate and think.
