Most of us enjoy sex. However, as there are increasing demands on us, some of us may lose desire and appetite for sex because we are leading an imbalanced life.
Luckily, adaptogens can come to the rescue. James Costello is back with us again to talk about how this one adaptogen can help us increase sexual vigour, and why “yang” energy is not always better, for men and women.
In our next part with James, we’ll be talking about how to stay sexual and young in your 40s and 50s with adaptogens, and why sex, even if it is casual, for women may boost our health, more so than for men. Stay tuned.
James Costello: An adaptogen, a real beauty, that is going to be gaining popularity in the next few years, I’m pretty sure, is called fox nut. We’re putting it in one of our formulas, and it’s pretty cool.
It builds up. It especially has an effect on guys. Fox nut, not surprisingly, the Latin name is Semen euryales, S-E-M-E-N. Yes, the same word.
Fox nut is, it’s a builder, or a sustainer of seminal liquid in a guy. You say, “Oh, wow. You know, that’s pretty amazing.” You say, “Yeah, it’s amazing in that seminal liquid is actually a yin substance that you’re building up in a guy.” When you start to get this buildup, you say, “Well, aren’t you gonna explode, or isn’t it just too much?” It’s like, “Well, no. You’re gonna have a constant flow.”
James Costello: Herbs affect hormones, the hormonal system, tonifying things like the kidneys, which are also masters of the hormone system and the glands, because the adrenals are sitting on top of the kidneys.
Fox nut has a yin effect on the body. It does with women too. It’s gonna tonify the ovary. It’s gonna tonify our sexual organs and everything else. I’d be taking fox nut if I were planning on getting pregnant.
When you look at that and you say, “Well, yin. You know, as a guy, I’m a macho guy. I like working out and I like all of this stuff, and I don’t want to tonify my yin.” You say, “Well, anything has to have its counterpart.”
So if you’re too yanged out, you’re gonna really lose things that look good on a guy too, like skin tension. You see a lot of guys that work out too much and they’re too into all the powders, and they’re working out excessively; they have adrenal blowout. They have maybe saggy skin on their face, a lot of wrinkles.
They just look really stressed. A lot of this is too much yang, yang, yang in their diet and in their lifestyle, in their workouts; and somewhat you see it with women too.
You see, unfortunately, with some women who are very hard core with their workouts. You see them losing all the yin factors that can make a complexion beautiful, with a little bit of fat in the cheeks, around the eyes, and so forth. So it’s really such a balance as far as the yin-yang.
You can’t really say yin is all female; you can’t say yang is all male.
