Do you notice that when you’re stressed, too in your head, thinking too much, you are disconnected from your body?
You may even feel contraction in your body. Your jaws, shoulders, back, arms, chest maybe tight
When you notice this contraction, I invite you to change your body movement.
If your shoulder is hunched forward, roll your shoulder back.
With this simple movement and posture change, you are being more aware of your body and sensations. As a result you become more embodied and hence more present and less in your head.
And when you change the body movement from contraction to expansion , you are also changing your communication to the world.
By rolling your shoulders back and opening your chest, you are being more open as opposed to contracted in your body posture.
This movement alone can also help you reduce your stress by bringing you back to your body and opening your energies.
